Robert Rowe Scholarship

In general, when we think of giving at RPC, we think of the church providing monetary support for groups or organizations outside the church who are in need; what we sometimes forget is that frequently we have members willing to assist others within the church who may need financial help. The Rowe family is known for this kind of support within our community of faith.

Starting in the 1960’s, Bob Rowe was well known at RPC for his leadership in developing and providing a sound Christian education program for the young people of the church. Not only did he teach classes, but he was also active in organizing and leading activities at and away from the church for different age groups. He was loved and respected for his work with youth. After his unexpected death, his family created a scholarship in his memory to assist RPC members or active youth within the church who plan to attend a college or university after graduation from high school. Each year, a number of RPC  students receive aid for their education. Requirements for assistance involve an application and review by the Rowe Scholarship Committee. An application can be found in the Resources section of the RPC web site or in the church office. The deadline for applying is the last week in July.
