At Rockledge Presbyterian Church, we believe that stewardship is
about being grateful, responsible stewards or caretakers of the gifts we receive
from God. The tradition of giving back to God for the blessings he has bestowed
on us comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a
tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). In line with the Bible, when we
think of stewardship, in addition to regular financial contributions to the
church, Presbyterians believe that stewardship is about giving our time and
talents to the ministries and missions of the church in service to God. Contributions from the congregation make it possible for us to plan a yearly budget, maintain the operation of the church, continue our ministries, and expand our programs. 

Although we encourage members and regular attendees to pledge their annual contribution using a pledge card, pledging is not a requirement for giving. Gifts to the church may be made in several ways:

• By cash or checks placed in the offering plate during Sunday worship. Individual offering envelopes can be found in pew racks or supplied by the church in boxes to members and regular attendees.
